Superstitions

In China and India, a twitching left eye means opposite things. In one, it is good luck. In another, it is bad luck. If someone is half Indian and Chinese, does that mean the superstitions cancel each other out? Combine that with finding two pennies at the same time, one heads, one tails. What is the universe trying to say?
